FIELD WORK
History
In 1998, we started walking in the red light community where we identified the dire situation of the ladies and children in the community. As a result, we continued to go to into the red light area, meeting the ladies in the brothels and seeking ways to meet their needs.
What We Do
Dedicated workers from the organization go to the red light area five days a week to connect and build relationships with members of the community.
In the red light area, we work in the following ways with members of the community:
Assess their needs and provide necessary care to answer to those needs
Search for the children from the community who need educational support and meet them at the point of their need
Children in need of care and protection receive necessary support by the field workers

Institutional Placements
Deepika Acts as a facilitator and connects the individuals to the available resources to meet various needs such as providing necessary medical help to the HIV/AIDS victims, rehabilitation of women, drug addicts and alcoholics, admissions into educational and technical institutions etc. thereafter, proper follow up and relationship with the clients and the respective organizations are maintained.
Cultural Activities
Deepika provides ample opportunities for the individuals to enjoy life and to take part & exhibit their special talents through dance, drama, excursions, sports, special events etc. They are great moments that the entire community gets involved.
